"Red Alert" immerses its audience in a rapidly escalating international crisis. The plot kicks off when a Chinese diplomatic mission is bombed in New York, leading to accusations against Taiwan and inciting tensions that could involve the United States. Dan Reilly, a former Army intelligence officer turned international hotel executive and State Department operative, suspects a larger conspiracy at play. As he races against the clock, he confronts international operatives and political leaders to avert a potential global catastrophe.
Ed Fuller remarked on the audiobook's fast-paced narrative, stating, "RED ALERT moves quickly from one part of the world to another, and the audiobook captures that sense of urgency. P.J. Ochlan brings the characters and the tension to life, allowing listeners to experience Reilly's journey almost in real time."
Gary Grossman noted that the audiobook format emphasizes the story’s cinematic qualities. He stated, "With RED ALERT, we aimed for readers to feel as if they were right alongside Dan Reilly as events unfold globally. P.J.'s narration enhances this experience by distinguishing the characters and intensifying the story's tension."
The Red Hotel Series features Dan Reilly navigating crises that intertwine international business, espionage, and geopolitical tensions. The previous installments—"Red Hotel," "Red Deception," "Red Chaos," and "Red Ultimatum"—were also released this year with redesigned editions.
Fuller added, "Dan Reilly has evolved, but his core remains the same: he understands how people and nations operate, and he acts decisively when others hesitate. This complexity makes him a compelling character to explore in a story like RED ALERT."
The unabridged "Red Alert" audiobook is available in English exclusively through Amazon and Audible. For additional details, visit redhotelseries.com.
