In a recent interview, Lucker discussed his journey and writing process, specifically in relation to his new book, Rule One. He described his passion for the murder mystery genre, emphasizing the importance of having a meaningful message behind the plot. Lucker cited *Silence of the Lambs* as his favorite mystery film, noting its engaging unraveling of the hero's past throughout the investigation.

Lucker pointed out that the foundational elements of storytelling transcend mediums, noting that engaging readers is crucial in today’s fast-paced digital world. He enjoys writing in casual settings like cafes and breweries, as it allows him to escape the distractions of home and spark creativity through everyday encounters.

He shared a piece of advice for aspiring writers: "Write like no one’s reading. Because no one is.” Lucker is currently working on a sequel to Rule One, titled Rule Two, which features FBI investigator Dent McCreary dealing with new challenges in the immigration landscape.

For those interested in attending his presentation or purchasing a signed copy of his novel, tickets are available for $45 each, or $40 each for two or more, and include a themed meal. Visit Georgia Writers Museum at 109 S. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton, or their website for registration details.
