Pop-punk band Simple Plan is set to release a children's book titled *I'm Just a Kid: The Story of Simple Plan*, commemorating 25 years of their iconic song "I'm Just a Kid" from the 2002 album *No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls*. Scheduled for publication on March 9, 2027, by Post Hill Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster, the 32-page illustrated book will target children ages four to ten. The illustrations are done by Jomike Tejido and will recount the band’s early days, emphasizing the friendship, resilience, and dedication that made them Quebec's most notable musical export.

The band expressed their excitement, stating, "As parents, reading bedtime stories to our kids was always one of our favourite and most sacred traditions. Writing this book has been an extremely fun and rewarding experience, and we're so proud of how it turned out!" They noted that many of their original teenage fans are now parents, allowing a new connection through the book.

The band hopes that the book will create fun bonding experiences for families and inspire children worldwide to pursue their dreams. Furthermore, for each copy sold, $1 will be donated to the Simple Plan Foundation, which offers underprivileged kids access to musical instruments and mental health support.
