In a recent FAQ, Libro.fm stated, “Our bookselling partners will gain access to ebooks this fall, and we’ll share updates on wider availability as we approach 2027. All of our audiobooks will remain DRM-free, and we are working to bring on as many DRM-free ebooks as possible. Unfortunately, publisher terms won’t always allow that.” They emphasized the importance of access to DRM-free ebooks and committed to encouraging publishing partners to offer these options while striving for greater accessibility.

Credits can be used to purchase either audiobooks or e-books, which can also be bought individually.

The company plans to ensure their ebooks are compatible with various e-readers and apps, although comprehensive details about e-reader compatibility have not yet been confirmed. They indicated that the best reading experience will be provided through the Libro apps, which will include features like LibroSync.
