The event will feature performances starting at 7:00 p.m. The first 25 poets who register will secure a spot to share their original works, with early arrival recommended for those wishing to perform. Community members are invited to enjoy live poetry and support local artists.
Sean Colcleasure, an English faculty member at MCC, expressed admiration for the talent showcased at previous events, noting that the poetry highlights the vibrant artistic culture of Muskegon County and reflects the diverse experiences of the community.
The open mic is open to MCC students, faculty, staff, and the public. Interested participants can register at the event's sign-up page.
