Retired nurse Barbara Docherty has published a memoir recounting her experience with the forced adoption of her two children in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Despite marrying and having two additional children, Docherty dedicated years to searching for her first two children. Her book, titled Secrets & Lemons, explores the secrecy, lies, and trauma faced by her and her family during that period.
