New Fiction and Nonfiction Releases for August 4

This week features new fiction from authors including Chris Bohjalian, Claudia Rankine, and George Pelecanos, alongside nonfiction works by Aaron Mahnke and Chris Young. Children’s literature debuts include titles from Jessica Spotswood and Randy Ribay.

A total of 37 new fiction titles are set for release, along with 12 nonfiction works and 25 children's books.

Additional notable releases include new works by Nina Lacour, Riley Sager, Jaclyn Moriarty, and Laura Moriarty, which can be found in the Buzz Books 2026: Spring/Summer anthology.

For those interested in future releases, August will see 105 fiction titles, 20 nonfiction works, and 25 children's books; September is scheduled for 132 fiction titles, 118 nonfiction works, and 24 children's titles; October will feature 130 fiction releases, 102 nonfiction works, and 21 children's titles.
