Reflecting the shop’s nautical theme, all entries must be titled ‘Lost at Sea.’ The competition is divided into two categories: under 16s and adults, with winners receiving book vouchers worth £15 and £25, respectively.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 6. Christopher Wood, the owner of Lost at Sea Books, expressed pride in the shop's role as a cultural hub, stating that the competition aims to celebrate the local community and foster creativity among young writers during their school holidays.
Entrants can obtain official entry slips at the bookshop’s counter. Completed works can be delivered in person or submitted via email to [email protected]. Each entry must include the author's name, age category, and a contact phone number.
Winners will be chosen by the bookshop team and announced in mid-November.
