The launch took place at the China International Publishing Center, hosted by Foreign Languages Press, with around 150 attendees from publishing, cultural, art, and media sectors as well as readers.
Ma Rujun, president of Foreign Languages Press, emphasized the significance of seal script, which he describes as a reflection of thousands of years of Chinese civilization. He highlighted that the synergy of Lu Xun's influential literary work, the artistic nature of seal script, and translations by British Sinologist W. J. F. Jenner and Wang Xiaohui enhance both the readability and visual appeal of the book.
Ma noted that the integration of the original poems, seal script, seal engravings, and their English translations offers an innovative perspective on how books can serve as cultural products, expanding aesthetic possibilities in publishing.
